Getting asked a lot about how StudentPizza is coming along.

Its a bit different to the other stuff out there and really easy to update.
When I originally came up with the idea, I figured I would market it via facebook. Its become obvious that this isn’t cost effective. For each clickthrough to the site we pay ~£0.5 and if we’re averaging £1.25 an order its going to be a pretty slim margin. At Pizza Hut we don’t get paid for our return custom either – its a pretty shit deal.
The fact remains that there is demand for this and the best way to go after it is through SEO. I’ve been in touch with some companies in India who I really believe can get us high up Google for certain keywords. Here are our 5 top targeted terms:
1. Pizza Voucher Codes
2. Pizza Hut Voucher Codes
3. Dominos Pizza Voucher Codes
4. Pizza Discount Codes
5. Pizza Promotional Codes
I own the domain PizzaVoucherCodes.Com which will be the domain used for the SEO because its obviously got a huge advantage. StudentPizza will remain the brand, however.
By Xmas I think we should be on the front page of Google for all of these and by early 2011 we should be pushing into top 3 territory.
Its going to be quite costly but, once its there its just the maintenance cost and I’m hoping Facebook groups etc are created off the back of this.
